How Singapore Picks handles personal data under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA): collection, purposes, cookies, transfers and access.
Scope
This policy sets out how Singapore Picks (singaporepicks.net) collects, uses and discloses personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). The site has no advertising and no AdSense, uses no tracking cookies, and personal data is never sold.
Data collected
Server logs: IP address, browser, page requested. Emails: your address and message. Business accounts: sign-in email, listing edits and billing records from Stripe for Pro or Top.
Purposes and consent
Running and securing the site, replying to enquiries, verifying owners, managing paid plans and keeping records required by law. By browsing, emailing us or creating an account, you consent to these purposes. You may withdraw consent by emailing us; we will explain what that means for any account you hold.
Cookies and anti-spam
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies. Our only cookie belongs to ‘For businesses’: a session cookie that remembers your sign-in. Cloudflare Turnstile filters bots out of form submissions.
Disclosure and transfers
Shared only with the providers that run the service: Cloudflare (site hosting, attack protection, visit counts, email), Stripe (card payments, processed entirely by Stripe) and OpenFreeMap (map tiles). Some of them process data outside Singapore, mostly in the US; we rely on them to protect it to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
Protection and retention
Data sits on secured services with limited access. Logs are short-lived, emails kept while needed, accounts until closed, and billing records as long as Singapore’s tax rules require.
