How we select
How Singapore Picks selects businesses: specialisation, customer ratings, complete contact details and location.
Every list uses four criteria.
Specialisation
The work a business mainly does. An interior design firm and a general contractor are listed separately; so are a GP clinic and an aesthetic clinic.
Ratings
Average score set against the number of reviews. Many good reviews outweigh a few perfect ones.
Details
Address, phone, opening hours and website confirmed. If a business can’t be reached, it is left out.
Location
Neighbourhood and nearest MRT noted where useful. Mobile services show the areas they serve.
Upkeep
Lists are revisited. Closures removed, deserving newcomers added.
Tip
For HDB flat renovations, use a contractor listed in HDB’s Directory of Renovation Contractors and ask for an itemised quotation. For aircon, ask whether you need general servicing or a chemical overhaul before you book.
